Mary El-Mahmoudi
Venture Partner
Mary El-Mahmoudi is a Venture Partner at Kaleida Capital, where she contributes to investment evaluation and portfolio initiatives across neurotechnology and AI. She brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare strategy, financial consulting, and complex project leadership. She combines curiosity with a practical mindset, asking thoughtful questions, connecting perspectives across disciplines, and helping turn promising ideas into actionable plans.
Her experience spans a broad range of tertiary and quaternary services, including advanced cardiac care, cancer care, and neurointerventional care, across a large integrated healthcare system. She has developed business cases for new clinical programs, advised physician and executive leaders on strategic decisions, and led enterprise technology implementation. She is particularly motivated by the potential of AI to expand care options for people with neurological, psychiatric, and treatment-resistant conditions.
Earlier in her career, Mary worked at a venture-backed healthcare software company focused on clinical trial management. She holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Rice University’s Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin.
